Milan, April 2013 – The skyscrapers of Milan’s new city center, in occasion of the coming Milan Furniture Fair, will be the backdrop to the staging of the “Urban Stories”, extraordinary impressions of contemporary living. Three metropolitan stories will be told by Michele de Lucchi, Diego Grandi and Kengo Kuma, with unique, exciting installations as daring as the new city skyline. KALDEWEI will be the protagonists of Paesaggio fa rima con saggio” [Landscape rhymes with wise], the project by Michele de Lucchi that includes, amidst the looming shapes and metaphysical towers, one and many interpretations of the landscape, be it physical, real, mental or imaginary.
“Everything is landscape, inside and outside our cities, inside and outside our architecture, our homes, our rooms we are an integral part of the landscape and our mental state is directly linked to our capacity to dialogue with what we have around us, the cultural and civil context. That is to say, at the end it is the landscape in our head, in our imagination, what gives us emotions and gratifications. The landscape we want, and whether we like it or not, that represents us”.
Coherent with the concept of the project, KALDEWEI will be protagonist of the installation curated by Michele De Lucchi with some of its products, having now become icons of the contemporary bathroom. Ecosustainability, lifespan, exceptional quality, essential timeless lines, technical innovation and attention to individual demands are some of the elements that allow the bathtubs and shower trays of the German concern to stand out, from Conoduo to Centro Duo Oval, from Ellipso to Mega Duo Oval, up to the Xetis shower tray, with its revolutionary wall drain.
